Let your squees out! There’s a ‘My Little Pony’ movie in the works

If you’re a fan of My Little Pony, heads up: There’s a movie in the works. And it’s bound to be the cutest thing in the entire world. Yep, we’re grinning like idiots too.

The film, which will be appropriately called My Little Pony The Movie, will center around Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity working together to save their home from destruction. Pony power! Kristin Chenoweth will be voicing a new character, while Tara Strong, Cathy Weseluck, Andrea Libman, Tabitha St. Germain, and Ashleigh Ball will all be returning to the helm as the characters we all know and love.

Jayson Thiessen is directing the film, and the screenplay will be written by Meghan McCarthy, who wrote and produced the TV show entitled My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic that debuted earlier this year on the Discovery Family channel.

It’s important to note that this isn’t technically the first My Little Pony movie — there was one released about 30 years ago with Danny Devito as Grundle King, and it was kind of weird, so we’re pretty pumped for this one.

When will we able to see all this in action? We’ve got a while to wait, almost two years. My Little Pony The Movie will be galloping into theaters on November 3rd, 2017 — the same date as Disney-Marvel’s Thor.

Let’s be real: Pastel ponies, ultra cuteness, returning to our childhoods, magical lands, what could possibly be better? Time to listen to the theme song on repeat.
