‘Murder, She Wore’ is a study of style on ‘Murder, She Wrote’ and it is amazing

If this ain’t the best news to start your week, I don’t know WHAT is. We all love those style Tumblrs that celebrate the outfits of some of our favorite fictional characters like Seinfeld’s Elaine and Kelly Kapowski, right? Well brace yourselves, because the latest addition to that fun Tumblr trend is one for the books.

Some saint out there is documenting all of the standout sartorial moments from Murder, She Wrote. Yes, I’m talking about the ’80s mystery series about the adventures of writer-slash-lady detective, Jessica Fletcher (who was played by the ever-so-stylish Angela Lansbury.) Murder She Look just launched so there’s only a few gems so far, but if the image of actress Karen Black looking ~very serious~ while wearing giant white earrings is any indication of what’s to come, we are in for a REAL WILD RIDE.

Now this site is not to be confused with Murder, She Wore, which is also a brilliantly fashionable recap of the classic murder mystery series. Thanks to that site we will never forget Lansbury’s grunge-chic get-up from the very first episode of the series.

Oh and there’s also this blog called Exploring Jessica Fletcher’s Closet. Who knew she was such an underground Internet style guru?

So now that we’re all inspired,let’s watch this old Murder, She Wrote trailer to get excited for future up-close-and-personal looks at Jessica Fletcher’s magnificent wardrobe. So far I spy fashionable sequins, a head-to-toe lilac number and a zip-up cardigan with silhouettes of two large fish on the front. THAT FASHIONISTA!!! How dare you be such a style queen, Jessica Fletcher!
