The greatest perks of having multiple best friends
It’s no secret that we at HelloGiggles believe the title of “best friend” need not only apply to one person. Having one bestie is pretty wonderful, but having more just multiplies the amazingness. On CMT‘s new series, a group of life-long friends weather all the trials and tribulations that come with growing up — and it’s easy to see that having each other makes the whole thing a lot more enjoyable.
Here are just a few reasons why having multiple best friends is the way to go; and tune in to this season of Gainesville to find out even more! The series premieres Thursday, August 20 on CMT with back-to-back episodes.
You always have at least one person you can talk to
A best friend is there for you whenever you need them — but if for some reason they’re unreachable, with multiple best friends, you always have someone else to call.
You have a ridiculous amount of inside jokes between you
Having one life-long friend means a lifetime of inside jokes. Having multiple makes it feel like the jokes are limitless.
There’s always someone to go out with
While getting a big group together can occasionally be a hassle, there’s nothing like hitting the town with all of your best friends at once. Even if you just need some one-on-one time, one of your besties will always be more than happy to grab a quick drink with you.
… And someone to stay home and watch Netflix with
When you just aren’t feeling a late night on the town, you’ll always have at least one other bestie who’s down to put on sweatpants and stay in for the night.
There’s always someone who will try out that weird, random new hobby with you
We’re all about alone time, but sometimes you just want to have a friend by your side when you’re trying something out of your comfort zone. Having multiple best friends means you have multiple people to rope into trying something new.
If you get in a fight with one BFF, you have someone else to talk it out with
Getting into a fight with a bestie is one of the worst feelings in the world — because all you want to do is talk to your BFF about it, and you can’t. With multiple best friends, you always have a listening ear.
You can get multiple opinions when you really need advice
Two heads are always better than one. Add a few more and you’ll make some very informed decisions.
You have multiple couches to crash on
It happens to all of us at one point or another: A sublet falls through, an unexpected break-up leaves us without a place to stay, a new landlord decides to double the rent. With multiple best friends, you always have a place to stay and take the time you need to get back on your feet again.
Little victories end up feeling like big celebrations
When you have multiple people cheering you on, every accomplishment somehow feels a little brighter. Likewise, every failure doesn’t sting as much.
You get to create your own family
They say you can’t pick your family, but we at HG believe close friends are family. Few things prove this quite like CMT’s new series.
Gainesville premieres Thursday, August 20 at 10/9c on CMT — and we can’t wait to tune in!
