Whoa, Mulan and Pocahontas both got new Disney princess makeovers

Continuing on the trend of cool new makeovers for our favorite Disney characters, two princesses were spotted this past weekend rocking new looks.

Mulan and Pocahontas — two wickedly fierce ladies — have completely new outfits and hair at Walt Disney World. Since Disney loves to keep everything consistent for all their characters (because, you know, there’s only ONE Mulan and ONE Pocahontas, wink wink nudge nudge), this look will soon make its way to all the other Disney parks around the world.

Mulan used to meet guests in her “matchmaker” outfit, the one she wears at the very beginning in the movie (if you got really, really lucky, sometimes you got to meet Mulan dressed as Ping and it was a 100% magical moment). Now, her new outfit appears to be a variation on that look, and still includes a lot of pink. false

As for Pocahontas, her dress is now a darker brown and her jade necklace is MIA, replaced with one made completely of white shells. She’s also got a cool new satchel, and it’s probably got all her different colors of the wind in it. Or snacks for Meeko. Or someone else fun and exciting! false

There isn’t a reason for this new change, nor does there have to be. Don’t you sometimes wake up in the morning and think, “TIME TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT!” Well, Mulan and Pocahontas just did. There’s nothing wrong with mixing things up a bit. false
