The original voice of Mulan wants to be in the live-action remake, and this sounds like the perfect time to get down to business

Disney is the animated-turned-live-action machine that keeps on giving, and we’re super excited for one of their next installments, a live-action Mulan. We’re not the only ones: The actress who voiced the original Mulan is stoked too, and she just might make an appearance in this film — or, at the very least, be involved. TBH, that is exactly what she and fans want. Let’s get down to business and make this happen.

You probably know her best from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (or maybe even ER), but Ming-Na Wen is also the original voice of Mulan in the Disney classic that came out way back in 1998. And apparently, Ming-Na has already been in discussions for the live-action film. According to ComicBook.com, she said at a recent convention that she has been in contact with producers of the film about possibly appearing in it or being involved in some way:

“I’m hoping. I mean, I’ve spoken to one of the producers on the film, and they’re still in the very early stages of it. So, we’re keeping an eye on it, and hopefully, yeah, It would be lovely too, I think, for the fans as well as for myself, right?

So nothing is set in stone, but it’s great to hear that Ming-Na has been in touch with the minds behind the new movie. We’d love to see her involved in the live-action remake, which *fingers crossed* will be coming out November 2nd, 2018. Until then, we’ll pray to our family ancestors for this blessing.
