This man’s hot chocolate mug disintegrated before his eyes, and the internet collectively felt his pain
Sometimes even drinking a simple cup of hot chocolate can get complicated. At least that’s what happened to this poor Reddit user.
After preparing for a delicious mug of good-for-the-soul hot chocolate, Knobmander watched in horror as his drink dreams disintegrated before him.
The poor victim took a picture of the catastrophe and posted it to Reddit in a couple different subreddits. Within minutes, people everywhere spoke out in support of the poor hot chocolate wanter. And, though their words didn’t put the mug back together, at least it gave Knobmander some peace of mind.
Pretty much everyone has experienced a mug breaking on them. It’s most frustrating when it happens just before (or during) use. And the most likely breakage culprit is often those flimsy handles.
But, as you can see in the picture, this mug’s actual bottom fell off.
And, because the bottom detached from the rest of the mug, it made a real mess.
But fellow Reddit users shared their own stories of mug disasters, which made the whole experience a lot more tolerable.
As theoriginal shared, "Happened to me with one of those Hoegaarden cups with the thick glass bases.I was drinking it on my bed and it was cranberry juice. sigh."

Some users suggested that this poor sap just take it easy the rest of the day after something like this.
ItsDarts wrote, "Just stay home. When your day starts like this, nothing good can come from it."
And scaryghosts totally felt this Reddit user's pain by adding, "If this happened to me on my first cup in the morning, it certainly would be a catastrophe."
We may not have had this exact thing happen to us. But we know what it’s like to have to deal with a mug malfunction. And we definitely feel this poor person’s pain.
