This year, the MTV Video Music Awards looked a lot different, but the celebs still came to play with stand-out fashion moments.

The ceremony took place in various outdoor locations to follow coronavirus (COVID-19) guidelines, and celebrities walked the socially distanced white carpet from many different places—and even from their homes.

Before Miley Cyrus threw back to her “Wrecking Ball” era with her VMAs performance of “Midnight Sky,” she stunned on the white carpet in a sexy, sheer, mirrorball-eque dress by Mugler.

Joey King

The Kissing Booth star was giving ’60s energy with her VMAs look. The mini dress was Versace, but we can’t stop staring at those matching hair clips and heels.

Keke Palmer

Our host for the evening, Keke Palmer, switched up her look a bunch, but we loved this modern Cinderella mini dress. That BOW.

Lady Gaga

You can’t have an MTV VMAs best-dressed list and not include Lady Gaga. She switched up her look (and her mask game) throughout the show, but her white carpet outfit, which looked like a mix between an astronaut and an alien, was a favorite.

Jaden Smith

Hey Jaden? Can we borrow that jacket sometime? His color-blocked, cardi-jacket stole the show, but we’re also here for his accessory game with chunky necklaces and matching pink sunglasses.

Bella Hadid

Bella went for all ’90s vibes in her VMAs outfit. Between her hair and the mesh, we could transplant Hadid into any of our favorite throwback teen movies, and we mean that as a compliment.
