We finally got a clear look at the Mountain’s face without his helmet on, and WOW is it horrifying

**Spoilers ahead**

The evil(er) of the two Clegane brothers, Gregor – more commonly known as The Mountain – is a tough motherfucker. We can all agree on that, right? He’s mean, strong, and, as you know, some kind of zombie now.

If you recall, before getting his arrogant head exploded, Oberyn Martelll actually managed to get one good, poisoned, slice in on The Mountain.

And then, we were left with a dead Mountain (and a headless Oberyn).

But thanks to creepy old Qyburn, the Mountain was resurrected, and we’ve been watching him stomp around the Red Keep, destroying more heads for Cersei throughout Season 6.

In the season finale, “The Winds of Winter”, however, we did get a KIND OF glimpse of the Mountain’s face…albeit in the shadows…before he went to town on Septa Unella.

BUT NOW, we have a very CLEAR LOOK at what that horrible, resurrected face looks like in clear daylight.

The Mountain IRL (the current one, anyway, there’s actually been three actors to play him), Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson just posted this photo of himself in full makeup. It’s a nice little #FlashbackFriday pic for all of us. We’re not sure who the ~lucky~ lady is he’s kissing in the pic, but she clearly has no problem with his deathly appearance.

No word yet on what actually happened to Septa Unella. Though we’re guessing things did not end nearly as happy! SHAME.
