This is the one thing about motherhood Emily Blunt did NOT love

Emily Blunt isn’t afraid to tell it like it is (which is one of the many things we seriously love about her). Such is the case in an interview featured in the November issue of InStyle magazine, which will hit stands soon. In it, Blunt discusses the curious process of breastfeeding in a way only she can and to our surprise, she confesses the one thing about motherhood she doesn’t love. Specially, she talks about the first date she went on with husband, John Krasinski, after the birth of their youngest daughter, Violet.
"After we got home from the hospital, I didn’t shower for a week, and then John and I were like, ‘Let’s go out for dinner.'"
Sounds simple enough, but it didn’t take long before some, erm, disruptive (yet totally normal) things happened at the absolute worst time because, you know, that’s typically what a post-birthing body does.
“I could last only about an hour because my boobs were exploding. When the milk first comes in, it’s like a tsunami. But we went, just to prove to ourselves that we could feel normal for a second.
This isn’t the first time Blunt has spoken about her adventures in breastfeeding and she always adds a certain level of hilarity we’ve come to expect from the talented actress. With firstborn daughter, Hazel, she opened up to Ellen Degeneres, stating, “It was like something out of a horror movie.” (Yikes!)
"My boobs also thought I'd had 12 children," she said. "I could have been the wet nurse in medieval times. I could have fed the village while they all went to work."
We’re sure it can be overwhelming to have such a massive amount of milk supply come in all at once, as Blunt said. However, we’re positive if anyone can handle this situation like a champ (and make us all giggle), it’s her!
