Three of our fave actresses are making a mom comedy together
It’s about time we got a lady-driven comedy like The Hangover where a bunch of our favorite funny females embark on an adventure that goes completely haywire. If this is a movie you’d love to see, it sounds like we won’t even have to wait that long for it, either. Three of our absolute faves have signed on to play the three leads in a movie that used to be called “Bad Mom.” It’ll be called something different when it finally hits theaters, but for now let’s call it Probably The Best Movie Ever Made.
Originally, Bad Mom was going to star Leslie Mann and be produced by Judd Apatow, so it would have been hilarious. However, they had to bow out for scheduling conflicts. No worries. How about the dream team of Mila Kunis, Christina Applegate, and Kristen Bell stepping in to save the day? Those three have signed on to star in this new untitled comedy (still calling it, Probably The Best Movie Ever Made). The film’s original writing/directing team, Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, will stay on board. P.S. They’re the two who brought the OG Hangover to life. See why it’s obvious this new movie is already going to be a hit?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plot of the movie looks like this: “An overachieving mother with a seemingly perfect life [has] stress lines [that] are one bad day from cracking. Fed up, she joins two other overstressed mothers, leading them on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities, which includes going on a wild un-mom-like binge of freedom, fun and self-indulgence. The course of action lands them on a collision course with the PTA Queen Bee and her blindly devoted clique of ‘perfect’ moms.”
Now picture that synopsis, but make sure our three leading ladies are front and center. Kunis, Applegate, and Bell are already mothers. They also happen to be pretty hilarious ladies. So the three of them joining forces to make us laugh? Where has this movie been all our lives?
