“Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” trailer is the creepiest yet
We’ve been pumped for the movie adaptation of Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children since we saw the first trailer — heck, since we first learned of the film’s existence. So we were already pretty excited when news of the second trailer dropped. Now, of course, having watched this trailer, we know for one thing: The film is going to provide some chills. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
This is the first trailer to really give us a sense of the battle of good and evil going on in the movie’s universe, introducing us more thoroughly to both some of the “Peculiars” (the children with special abilities under Miss Peregrine’s care) and to Samuel L. Jackson’s Barron character — and all we can do when we see this creepy white eyes is stifle a scream.
The trailer also explores the notion of time loops more thoroughly. Time loops, which are incredibly important to the plot of the book, were only touched upon with the viral teaser for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children that celebrated “Loop Day.” Although that teaser was confusing to anyone who had not read the novel, this newest trailer provides context for that teaser — revealing that the Peculiars are protected through magic that creates a 24-hour long time loop (among other magical means). However, the film hints that even that magic might not be enough against the forces of evil led by Barron.
The film premieres September 30th, and we can’t wait!
