Miranda Lambert goes makeup-free for ‘People’ and looks uhhh-mazing

Yesterday, we were in love with People‘s choice of Sandra Bullock for their “most beautiful woman” issue. And now, our jaws are totally dropping over Miranda Lambert’s beautiful, au natural makeup free shoot. As People highlights, “away from the spotlight, and scrubbed free of all makeup, she still shines just as bright.” We TOTALLY agree.

The 31-year-old country singer bared it all, and it totally wowed us — but for Lambert, this wasn’t much different from her out of the spotlight norm. “I don’t wear a lot of makeup at home,” Lambert told People. “When I’m just off and hanging out, I just put on some tinted moisturizer and sunscreen and mascara. And lip gloss! It’s kind of an addiction.”

Miranda wasn’t the only one that went makeup free for People’s shoot. Various stars, like Ferida Pinto, Aubrey Plaza, Sophia Bush, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Gina Rodriguez participated in a video segment showing their squeaky clean faces. We LOVE seeing them stripped down and makeup free. It’s a refreshing reminder that under the glitz and glamour these women are just stunningly gorgeous human people.

We heart that People decided to have a makeup free shoot, but as Cosmo points out, we have to take it with a grain of salt . . . after all, in the same “World’s Most Beautiful” section, People did create a video piece featuring the Duggar woman getting a makeup transformation. Well, at least we got a little bit of au natural goin’ on.

Either way, with so many magazine shoots out there that Photoshop celebs to oblivion, we have to celebrate anything that encourages a realistic body image and keeps it real. Thanks to Miranda and the rest of these amazing gals for the breath of fresh air!
