Here’s a mini pizza box, in case you’re looking for the perfect way to propose
It’s hard to come up with a creative wedding proposal these days. Between the guy who created a customized Marauders Map for his fiancé and the incredible man who orchestrated a Home Depot flashmob for his partner, the bar has been set pretty high.
Enter the Mini Pizza Box Pizza, a small box made entirely of pizza, which holds (what else) a small slice of pizza. The perfect size to set an engagement ring atop, am I right?
The Mini Pizza Box Pizza is available at Vinnie’s Pizza, a restaurant in Brooklyn, which has created a slew of innovative pizza creations. Last week they launched the large version of the pizza box, which fits an entire pizza inside, and they commemorated Prince’s death with a slice in the shape of the Love symbol, which was synonymous with the late artist’s name.
The original pizza box, which sold for $40, was created by co-owner Sean Berthiaune, who told Gotham he was inspired from routinely watching wasteful visitors throw away boxes they didn’t necessarily need.
“Sometimes I get a little annoyed by customers that ask for a box, and then sit down [in the shop] and eat the piece of pizza and throw the box into my trash can,” he said. “It got me thinking, I wish they could eat the box.”
Bertiaune is a true visionary, always pushing the boundaries when it comes to pizza. Last year he even offered a slice of pizza topped with mini slices of pizza, which Gotham called “Cheeseception.”
“It’s a spur of the moment thing, I go in and think, what am I going to do today?” he told Gotham. “Tomorrow’s another day, another pizza.”
