Yes, yes, yes — “The Mindy Project” just got renewed for a fifth season

It’s a great day for the cast, crew and fans of The Mindy Project — the show has been picked up for a fifth season!

Hulu just announced that the Mindy Kaling comedy has been renewed for another season of hilarity. It will be the show’s second season airing on Hulu, and its fifth total.

Fox canceled the series after three seasons, which hurt our hearts tremendously. So when Hulu announced it would be reviving Mindy and and her peeps on its streaming platform, we, along with Mindyfans everywhere rejoiced.

And now that the show has been picked up for yet ANOTHER season, we are just so happy and SO looking forward to the continued storyline.

“We definitely feel we have a lot more story to tell with these characters” Mindy showrunner Warburton THR. “You want to see [Mindy and Danny’s son] Leo grow up. You want to see where things go with Mindy and Danny and all the problems that people are going to learn about coming up. I think there’s plenty of gas left in the tank at this point.”

We couldn’t agree more. We hope the tank of gas doesn’t run out anytime soon.

This proves that while the show’s fan base might be a smaller group than it used to be when the show aired on primetime TV, we’re mighty and extremely loyal. MINDY FOREVER!!
