Mindy Kaling shared another rare glimpse of baby daughter Katherine, just in time for Christmas
When Mindy Kaling isn’t gifting us with beloved TV series, hilarious essay collections, The Office tidbits, or Twitter gems,she is gifting us with rare glimpses of her 1-year-old daughter, Katherine Swati. On Christmas Eve morning, Kaling took to Instagram to share a photo of her and baby Katherine in matching blue Eiffel Tower-print onesies.
Katherine is looking out the window behind her mom, hiding her face, while a smiling Mindy props her up on her lap. Katherine Kaling was born on December 15th, 2017, making this her first Christmas as a non-newborn. Mindy’s simple caption reads, “Waiting for Santa.”
Mindy last graced us with her daughter’s presence via a Thanksgiving Instagram post, that time revealing their matching hot pink Converse sneakers and skinny jeans.
Mindy kept much of her pregnancy private, and followed suit after giving birth—not sharing the identity of Katherine’s father and keeping her daughter’s face off of the internet, which is something all parents have the right to do, regardless of their celebrity status. We’re just grateful for Mindy’s honest observations about working motherhood and her tradition of sharing holiday Instagrams and mommy-and-me ensembles.
