Milo Ventimiglia (aka Jess from “Gilmore Girls”) weighs in on who the father of Rory’s baby might be

Ever since those fateful four words were uttered in the final episode of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, we’ve all been wondering (SPOILER) who the father of Rory’s baby could be! For those who watched the revival, the only logical choices are Logan Huntzberger (Matt Czuchry), the ex Rory spends most of the revival having an affair with; the wookiee, a one-night stand; and maybe Paul, Rory’s (forgettable) boyfriend.

Unfortunately for Jess fans everywhere, it doesn’t seem like he’s the father. Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Jess, presented at the Golden Globes over the weekend and while on the red carpet, Variety asked him who he thought the father of Rory’s baby is.

Check out his answer:

He said,

“I don’t think it’s any of the three guys at all. No, I don’t know. You know what, I haven’t really sat around and thought about it and wondered who it was, so I’ll be surprised as anyone else is.

Okay, Ventimiglia HAS been busy with his NBC hit show This Is Us, so we can forgive him for not having a strong opinion, but we hope Variety got him thinking about it. Since Ventimiglia is proving to be an ~amazing~ TV dad in This Is Us, we’re inclined to believe he would make a wonderful father figure to Rory’s baby.

One of the biggest highlights in the Gilmore Girls revival was the return of Jess who, despite not having nearly enough screen time, returned to Stars Hollow a really mature guy. It was very clear adult Jess still had some serious feelings for Rory and we couldn’t help but see the parallel between Jess and Luke.

It’s unclear if Netflix or Amy Sherman-Palladino have any plans to make more episodes of the Gilmore Girls revival, but we kindly request that Jess gets ALL the screen time in Season 2.
