Millie Bobby Brown wants to play Princess Leia, and here are all the reasons she’d be perfect

Every once in a while, an idea comes along that’s irresistibly perfect. Millie Bobby Brown as Leia in a Star Wars anthology film is one of those. Carrie Fisher passed away last month, and since her death, fans have expressed a desire for a standalone Princess Leia film. They’re not alone: the young actress we all went crazy for this summer also wants to see that movie made.

At the same convention where Millie Bobby Brown revealed she loves The Walking Dead, the Stranger Things actress shared another role shared like to play.

And, TBH, she’d be a totally perfect for the iconic sci-fi character.

"Princess Leia. If they made – I think they are making another Star Wars – I would love a role like that. Because I want to do something far from Eleven."

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is the first of three anthology films green-lit by Lucasfilm. The other two follow a young Han Solo and Boba Fett, respectively. (And if Boba Fett is getting a standalone movie, Leia should totally have one.)

Of course, there’s a chance that Lucasfilm will want to explore more obscure parts of the Star Wars universe in future anthology films. That might deter them from a Leia standalone film — but fans clearly want to see more Leia, and Brown would be PERFECT. Also, Leia became a senator at age 14. Not only is that incredible, it also means 12-year-old Brown is just about the right age to portray that period of Leia’s life.

Oh, and Millie Bobby Brown even looks like she could be a young Carrie Fisher: false http://hoothootmotherf-ckers.tumblr.com/post/151456670655/i-present-my-case-for-millie-bobby-brown-as-young

Finally, we know Brown can play badass female characters. And while Eleven is totally different from Princess Leia, both are independent and powerful in their own way.

Needless to say, we want to see Millie Bobby Brown play Princess Leia as much as she does. We hope that the Star Wars powers that be are listening.
