5 times Miley and Liam were the most adorable human couple
Like any great love story, the relationship between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth has been a bit, uh, rocky. Google “Are Miley and Liam back together,” and you’ll be prompted to clarify which time, specifically, you’re referring to: 2013? 2014? 2016? But there’s a new round of rumors that the couple are back together for the long-haul (some are even claiming they’re engaged…again). As a fan of Miley, Liam and love, I have to admit that I wouldn’t hate it if these rumors turned out to be true. In honor of love everlasting, let’s look back on a few times when Miley and Liam were the most adorable human couple (because let’s be real, the cutest couple of all time most definitely involves two baby animals).
The Miley-Liam (“Liley”? “Miam?”) saga first began in 2009, when the then-teens starred in the ultra-romantic Nicholas Sparks film The Last Song.
Look at that chemistry! Ugh. UGH. I know it’s acting, but you can’t act like…that much. They officially announced their relationship early in 2010, on the “The Last Song” premier’s red carpet.
Presh. They’re glowing. Breakups in June and November of that same year followed; by 2011, though, they seemed in it for the long haul.
On June 6, 2012, Miley and Liam announced their engagement to the media.
What a beautiful engagement announcement tweet. I am loving this. Throughout the remainder of 2012 and 2013, the couple remained adorable, making a number of crazy-cute red carpet appearances. They officially called it quits in 2013, and for years neither Miley nor Liam were ever seriously linked to anyone else. And in typical 2016-Miley fashion, their new engagement was announced with no official announcement at all, just a kooky fashion moment and a goofy face.
Yeah, Miley, you look like a strawberry, if strawberries wore glam AF engagement rings. Even better: It appears to be the same engagement ring from the couple’s previous engagement.
Nothing is confirmed yet, but at least Miley and Liam continue to be two of the most adorable humans on the planet, and that’s enough for us.
