We hope this is a new Miley Cyrus track, because it’s giving us goosebumps
Regardless of your feelings about Miley Cyrus, you have to admit girl is ultra-talented. And lately, Miley Bird has been impressing us non-stop. Remember when she covered Outkast’s “Hey Ya” and totally gave it new, melancholic life? Or when she sang “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” for SNL‘s 40th anniversary and made us wonder who stole Miley and replaced her with this old-timey country singer channeling Dolly Parton?
All these incredible covers make us wonder what’s next for Miley. Will she continue taking on the pop world with her infamous sequined leotards? Or will Miley venture into folk-country? Well, just yesterday she posted an Instagram that featured a brief clip of her singing. And it’s gorgeously poignant. “Why do people only show forgiveness / when they wanna sound cool in a song,” she crooned.
The only clues we have are the people she tagged (@waynecoyne5, @@katyweaver, @cheythom, @vijatm), and her hashtag #turnted. Let’s hope this is the beginning of a new song. For now, you can listen to the first few seconds of it:
