Fans think Miley Cyrus’s new song contains a message to Liam Hemsworth
It’s been a year full of ups and downs for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. In November, the couple lost their Malibu home in the devastating Woolsey Fire, a tragedy that led them to donate $500,000 to help others who were also affected. But their relationship remained strong in the face of adversity, and they tied the knot in a casual but romantic December wedding. Given all that they’ve been through, it makes sense that Cyrus’ fans think Hemsworth inspired some of her new music.
Miley dropped a new EP, She Is Coming, today, May 31st. While fans immediately raved about the six tracks, one song in particular caught their attention. Twitter is convinced that “The Most” is about Cyrus’s relationship with Hemsworth.
The song in question, which is the last track on She Is Coming, features Cyrus’s vocals floating over a smooth beat. The instruments are fairly subdued, putting her smoky voice front and center. But the song’s vulnerable lyrics were what fans really noticed.
Take the chorus, for example:
"Oh, and even in my darkest days, even in my lowest place/You love me the most/And even when I can't say, even when I run away/You love me the most/So why do I hurt you so? Is it 'cause I know?/Why do I hurt you so? Is it 'cause you love me the most?"
The other lyrics in “The Most” also show the struggle to accept someone else’s love. At several points, Cyrus sings, “I don’t know why you still believe in me.” Given its tender lyrics, the song could definitely be about the singer’s relationship with Hemsworth.
Twitter certainly thinks so.

According to ET Online, She Is Coming is the first part of a trio of EPs that Cyrus will release this year. The second, She Is Here, is expected this summer, and the final, She Is Everything, will arrive toward the end of the year. Will either project have contain more nods to Hemsworth? Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see.
