Miley Cyrus shut down pregnancy rumors using the now-famous egg meme

She may have had a secret wedding at the end of December, but according to Miley Cyrus, she and Liam Hemsworth are not secretly pregnant. Cyrus shut down recent pregnancy rumors floating around Twitter by using 2019’s biggest meme yet: the now-famous egg picture that holds the world record for most likes on Instagram.

The “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” singer took to Twitter on Tuesday, January 16th hours after the Daily Mail claimed she was pregnant with her first child. Cyrus was seen in Miami days earlier sporting a flowy shirt that some people thought hinted at a potential baby bump underneath. A source even told the publication that she was carrying a girl. But Cyrus swiftly shut those pregnancy rumors down.

“I’m not “ Egg-xpecting,”” Cyrus tweeted in response to the Daily Mail article, “but it’s “Egg-celent” to hear everyone is so “ Happy For Us” …. we’re happy for us too! “Egg-cited” for this next chapter in our lives…. Now , can everyone leave me alone and go back to staring at an egg.”

The egg is even rocking her iconic red lips and tongue. Nice diversion, Miley.

Girl’s got Photoshop skills.

And jokes.

After dating for 10 years, the celebrity couple decided to tie the knot in a simple Christmastime ceremony at their Nashville home attended by close friends and family.

Whether or not pregnancy is in the couple’s future is really none of our business. However, we would like to know when Cyrus plans to birth her next album. That’s a due date we’ll be expecting.
