Miley Cyrus will be releasing her new album next month, so we’re listening to “The Climb” to prepare
Smilers have a lot to smile about right now. Our favorite pop princess, Miley Cyrus, is releasing a new album next month, entitled Younger Now. We vow to only listen to previous Cyrus albums up until September 29th, Younger Now’s official release date — and currently, we’re belting “The Climb.”
If you’ve been keeping up on your Miley Cyrus news, you’re probably not surprised to hear that she’s releasing a new album. Her single “Malibu” made serious waves this summer, and has been nominated for an MTV Video Music Award under the Best Pop category.
After “Malibu’s” super successful release, we had an inkling there was an album looming up ahead.

Younger Now will be Cyrus’ first album since 2015, which is when she came out with Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz. The singer opened up to Harper’s Bazaar about how this album isn’t going to be anything like her last one.
"I feel really kind of far away from that person," she said. "I just want people to see that this is who I am right now. I’m not saying I’ve never been myself. Who I was on the last record was really who I am. It’s just myself has been a lot of different people because I change a lot.

Cyrus has been through a fairly drastic transition from one phase to the next in recent months. She’s embraced a much more casual, softer side in comparison to her latex bikini, tongue-out persona.
She told Harper’s Bazaar that her previous image served it’s purpose. She gave society the middle finger with her style choices. But now that everyone else is following her lead with showing more skin, she said, “It’s more punk actually for me to not.”

Judging by “Malibu” and “Inspired,” we think Younger Now is going to define Cyrus’ new image and show how much she’s grown in the past two years. We can’t wait to give it a listen.
