Miley Cyrus and Dolly Parton Team up for Legendary New Year’s Eve Performance
Name a better way to ring in 2023. I'll wait...
This New Year’s Eve is all “about getting glamorous and dressing your best” because Miley Cyrus is heading to Miami to ring in the new year with Dolly Parton. On Monday, Nov. 21, the “Prisoner” singer announced via Instagram her 2022 co-host for the second annual Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party on NBC. Fans were ecstatic to learn the special guest is Cyrus’s godmother!
“NEW YEAR, NEW CO-HOST! 🍾” Cyrus wrote alongside a new promo video of her glitzy and glamorous NYE show.
In the video posted to Instagram, Cyrus praises Parton for teaching her how to dress her best and feel glamorous, which Cyrus empowers everyone to do on NYE. “Well, we do that every day, don’t we Miley?” Parton smizes.
Of the show, Parton teases, “It’s going to be legendary.”
Everything fans need to know about when and how to watch Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party can be found in the post’s caption. The show will air on Dec. 31 at 10:30 p.m. ET on NBC. You can also stream Cyrus and Parton’s NYE extravaganza on Peacock.
Cyrus is slowly cementing herself as a New Year’s Eve countdown host. She first broke into the space, which has been largely dominated by Ryan Seacrest and Andy Cohen, last year. She was joined by co-host Pete Davidson.
“The inaugural ‘Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party’ was an unqualified success, and we know this year’s show will be just as spectacular, with plenty of surprises and lots of fun,” Jen Neal, EVP of entertainment live events, specials and E! News at NBC Universal, said in a statement obtained by Today.
“We can’t wait to get the party started.”
We, for one, can’t think of a better way to close out 2022 than with a duet performance of “Jolene” by these powerhouse voices. See you on Dec. 31st!
