Miley Cyrus has the best advice for sister Noah when it comes to handling haters

Miley Cyrus’ little sister Noah is growing up and gaining fame. She recently dropped several singles that are securing her a spot next to her sister in the music industry. And having been in that world for well over 10 years, Miley has some great advice for Noah when it comes to dealing with haters.

“When you’re in this industry, adults treat kids like adults,” Miley said during the iHeartRadio’s Label Defiers with ZICO Coconut Water podcast.

She noted that tabloids and interviewers would ask her questions about her “crazy breakouts” and her breakups while she grew up in the spotlight. “People would treat me like I could handle those comments as an adult,” Miley stated, “like I had this thick skin.”

Miley knows that living under the umbrella of fame can make a person “jaded” and “guarded.” She wants Noah to stay true to herself and not let others’s comments change her. Miley said,

“I don’t ever want her to get like that. Or your style or the way that you think because you want to please people. I really hope that she never feels those pressures and I hope other people respect her and don’t actually make her something she’s not.”

And when it comes to navigating social media as a rising star, Miley has shared words of wisdom with little sister Noah.

“I always tell Noah, keep your Instagram comments turned off,” Miley said. “Never read anything that anyone says about you. Don’t Google yourself.”

Miley concluded her interview stating that it’s wonderful to have Noah following in her footsteps. Noah now understands what it’s like for Miley to travel for months at a time and constantly be on the road, and it’s been nice to form a new sister bond over that.

With big sis Miley holding her hand and supporting her, Noah will go far with her music career. This is a sister act that can only get better over time!
