Mila Kunis says her kids don’t get presents for Christmas

When we think about Christmas, a few things come to mind — family time, cookies, and presents. Even though the act of giving really does outweigh the joys of getting as we get older, we’re a bit shocked that Mila Kunis doesn’t give her kids gifts for Christmas. It’s a bit inspirational, especially since we have a feeling they’ve got everything they need and then some, but — we just can’t imagine the holiday without them.

In a new interview with Marie Claire, Kunis talked a little about motherhood. For one, she’s handling a lot of it like a pro by balancing life as both an active mom and a full-time actress in hit films.

While admirable, she admits it’s left her a little tired.

"What motherhood shows you is how selfless you can get. I’m ragged tired," she said. "Who cares? My kids are healthy, I’m happy."

But, it’s all worth it. And since Kunis seems like an all-star mom, we’ve got to trust her feelings on how Christmas should be handled.

"So far, our tradition is no presents for the kids," she said to Entertainment Tonight. "We’re instituting it this year because when the kids [are younger] than 1, it doesn’t really matter. Last year when we celebrated Christmas, Wyatt was 2 and it was too much. We didn’t give her anything — it was the grandparents. The kid no longer appreciates the one gift. They don’t even know what they’re expecting; they’re just expecting stuff."

We have to admit, there’s something very cool about teaching your kids gratitude within the major holidays. And from that same interview, Kunis recognized that she didn’t want her kids to seem entitled.

"We're not gonna raise a**holes," she said. "There's enough a**holes in this world!"

No matter what, we know that Kunis is going to make her holiday with the family pretty memorable. We know their Christmas is going to be filled with a lot of love.
