Mila Kunis totally rocked a middle school dance look on her first red carpet
Though Mila Kunis got her start as a Lisa Frank girl back in the ’90s, she’s arguably most well-known for her character (Jackie Burkhart) on That ’70s Show. And, of course, for being a badass woman who’s not afraid to speak her mind. Oh – and for her impeccable fashion. (Is there anything this woman can’t do?)
As for the look she rocked on her first red carpet, it happened back in September of 1998 at the 50th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, which means this photo is from almost precisely 18 years ago:
There Mila is with Wilmer Valderrama, Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Danny Masterson, Mila Kunis, and Ashton Kutcher – AKA the whole gang!
We also love seeing the now-couple, Mila and Ashton, on the red carpet together way back when. In 2001, Kunis told People about her her first kiss ever and, naturally, it was with Ashton (awww). Granted, it was a scripted one between their characters on That ’70s Show. And, when it happened, the two were pretty much strangers.
"I was like, 'Oh, he's so cute, it's the Calvin Klein model!'" Kunis told People. "Then I was like, 'I have to kiss him?' I was so nervous and uncomfortable. I had the biggest crush on him."
Mila added that Ashton was incredibly nice to her, making jokes and paying her jokey compliments. Ultimately, Ashton made Mila laugh and was totally charming.
We’re also loving her ’90s style on this red carpet, with what ~looks~ like a butterfly clip or something akin to one, and the spaghetti-strapped black dress that looks just like something we totally wore to a middle school dance.
Just look at that pout!
She must have nailed down that pout, even at 16. Seems to be a red carpet staple of hers now
We <3 you Mila – fierce then, fierce now, fierce forever.
