Who says you need a man in your life to make you happy? Not Williams, that’s for sure. Instead, the Manchester by the Sea star revealed that it’s her longtime best friend who completes her and we totally get it.

At a screening for her new movie, the 36-year-old actress brought her forever friend, Philipps — who she met on the set of Dawson’s Creek — and couldn’t help but gush about how much she means to her.

It’s seriously the cutest thing ever.

“I’m here with my best friend,” Williams told People at the screening in New York on Sunday.

"I'm so in love with her," she continued.

Williams and Philipps starred on the early ’00s WB series, as part of the college Dawson’s Creek crew, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

Philipps is godmother to Williams’ daughter Matilda, who she had with her late ex Heath Ledger. She’s been there through the ups and downs and Williams has been there for the Cougar Town alum as well.
