All the cutest things Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps have said about their friendship

Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps have the most beautiful ride-or-die friendship in Hollywood, hands down. Okay, maybe Oprah and Gayle King get a mention. Okay, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams are kinda cute, too. But Williams and Philipps are legitimately soul sisters, and not only that, they love to talk about their friendship, which is great for us, because we need to know more about these BFFs.

Here are all the cutest things Philipps and Williams have said about their friendship:

On their humble beginnings:

“From sharing cheap wine to Michelle’s well-deserved fourth Oscar nomination to all the personal work that we’ve put in to be the women that we are today, because you just have to focus on what’s really important in life, and that’s your friends and your family, and the life that you build,” Philipps told Us Weekly in April 2017.

On always being each other’s red carpet dates:

“I think for her, and for me too, to have each other by our sides as we go through this process, and when she’s been nominated, or on other red carpets that we’ve done together, or events, it’s just great to have somebody that can be your touchstone for reality. Maybe I’m giving away a secret, but we always try right before we get to one of these red carpets to just look at each other and say, ‘Don’t forget how lucky we are. This is our life now,’” Philipps shared in the same Us Weekly interview.

On their platonic love:

“I’m so in love with her. She’s proof that the love of your life does not have to be a man! That’s the love of my life right there,” Williams told People in December 2016.

On being a ride-or-die friend:

“My friendship with Michelle has stood the test of time, and we’ve been together through many different versions of our lives. I love her as deeply as I love almost anyone,” Philipps told The Advocate in 2013.

On Williams’ influence over Philipps’s fashion:

“I have to say my friendship with her was, in terms of fashion, incredibly illuminating. We became friends when I was 21, and she’d just turned 21 and had been working for a long time and was sort of into fashion and knew cool brands,” Philipps confessed to Elle in 2015.

On Williams’ future Oscar:

“Michelle’s gonna win an Oscar someday…” Philipps revealed during an Instagram story after the 2017 Oscars (via Glamour U.K.).
