Michelle Phan is bringing back Em Cosmetics, and we can’t contain our excitement
There’s no doubt about it, Michelle Phan is the OG queen of YouTube. Her DIYs and fantasy makeup looks are still being recreated (we highly recommend the gelatin blackhead strips) and as the co-founder of Ipsy, Michelle is still very much a factor in the beauty world.
You may recall she launched her own brand, Em Cosmetics back in 2013. No one did palettes like Em, they were MAJOR — some boasting 36 shades.
Fans of Phan (and affordable makeup in general) get excited, Em Cosmetics is gearing up for a relaunch. From what we can tell, Em looks like it’s going from cutesie to a bit more grown and sexy. A new logo has popped up and we suspect there will be new, darker packaging as well.
According to WWD, Michelle Phan spoke about the brand’s new direction during a Facebook live with Ipsy last month.

With all the changes on the way, we hope at least some of the original products are here to stay.
