When asked what she did on election night, Michelle said, “I went to bed.” And we don’t blame her!
Michelle continued, "I don't watch debates. I don't like to watch the political discourse. I never have. I barely did with him. Once you do what you can do, then you rest easy. It's in the hands of the American people."
We are so impressed by Michelle’s dignified response. We could learn a lot from her courage and positivity.
We find it inspiring that Michelle trusts our democracy, even at a time when many people have questioned it. Michelle famously encouraged us to stay classy during a tough election. She said, “When they go low, we go high.” And she’s clearly sticking to that. Michelle told People that she got to say everything she wanted to say during the election. “And I stand by that,” she said. She and Barack’s job now is to make the transition as easy as possible for the new administration.
