Actor Michael Rapaport is getting torn apart for this sexist tweet about Ariana Grande, and rightfully so

Over the last few months, Ariana Grande has done nothing short of prove that God, in fact, is a woman. Between dealing with some devastating events in her personal life, like the death of her ex, Mac Miller, and ending her engagement to Pete Davidson, she’s also cranked out amazing music—we still can’t stop listening to “Thank U, Next” on repeat. So of course when she was the subject of a very sexist tweet, her fans immediately came to her defense on Twitter.

As Cosmopolitan pointed out, actor Michael Rapaport—otherwise known as the guy who played the cop Phoebe dated on Friends until he shot a bird that was making too much noise one morning—took to Twitter to share his feelings on Grande, which were both rude and unsolicited…and seemingly out of nowhere.

“Ariana Grande is 27 acts 12, you take off those boots she hides her legs in, the cat eye make up and the genie pony tale and I think there’s hotter women working the counter at Starbucks no disrespect to Starbucks,” Rapaport tweeted, adding a photo of Grande wearing no makeup that looks like it was taken during her Nickelodeon days.

Rapaport clearly had no idea that he was about to face the wrath of Arianators—and rightfully so. Not only is it inappropriate to talk about any woman’s appearance like that, but it’s also incredibly sexist. Basically, it was a gross tweet. The one good thing to come of this has been the tweets that fans are sharing in response to Rapaport’s thoughts. If Grande’s fans are one thing, they are loyal—and also hilarious.

There were a few who offered up the perfect GIFs for the situation:

There was this tweet, pointing out that Grande was, in fact, a teenager when this picture was taken, making Rapaport’s tweet that much more disgusting:

This flawless, sarcastic tweet:

And this tweet, which was an excellent response and an update on what Grande actually looks like in 2018 all in one: false

Grande herself has yet to respond to Rapaport, but if she does, we don’t doubt that she’ll have the perfect comeback ready. Grande is queen—is that really news to anyone?
