Michael Cera has some thoughts on if Season 5 of “Arrested Development” will be the show’s last

All good things must come to an end. Even, Arrested Development, one of the best shows on TV. Or does it? One of the show’s stars, Michael Cera, spoke about the future of Arrested Development. And he had some pretty great things to say.

Here’s what we know. Season 5 of Arrested Development is happening for real. It’s currently in production and expected to hit Netflix in 2018. We also know that Season 5 will be completely different — it’ll be a whodunit.

And Cera seems to think that we’ll have even MORE seasons to come.

"Netflix seem [sic] to be completely behind the show so I’d imagine they’d be open to doing some more," Cera told NME. "I think everyone else would be game. We’ll see."

Apparently it’s been easy for Cera to get back into the same rhythms with cast, especially with costar Jason Bateman.

"I had a one-on-one scene with [co-star] Jason Bateman again recently and it was strange how familiar and comfortable it was, Cera continued. “We know each other’s rhythms without needing to discuss it. There’s a common approach between us. I’ve definitely learned a lot from Jason. Since I was still a kid, I’ve developed my acting based on him."

Cera also reflected on what it means to keep coming back for new seasons of the show. After all, he was pretty young when they started.

"The strange thing is that I met the rest of the cast for the first time when I was 14, then years go by and we all get back together. Now more years have gone by and we’re back again. It’s a strange and confusing thing, but it’s really fun. There’s a lot of moments when we’re all just laughing and having a good time."

Also, Isla Fisher is back for Season 5, and we are so here for it.
