The cozy drink you’ll want to order from Starbucks’ secret menu

So you’ve tried everything on the menu at Starbucks, including their new winter drinks. You’ve guzzled down the Chestnut Praline Latte, Eggnog Latte, Gingerbread Latte, Caramel Brulee Latte what seems to be countless times. And it’s only the second week of November.  But, if you’re ready to spice up your drink game, it might be time to start ordering off the Starbucks secret menu. How do you do that? Just know the right ingredients, of course!

You don’t have to figure it out yourself — the fine folks over at the Starbucks Secret Menu site have got it all down and we’re digging the sound of the Mexcian Hot Chocolate. You may too if you’re a big fan of chocolate — this rich treat is not for the faint of heart!

The trick to ordering from the secret menu at Starbucks is to simply tell the barista what ingredients the drink you want has. You don’t even have to tell them the name (although the cool baristas who know about this secret menu thing will be down if you do).

To end up with a Mexican Hot Chocolate, ask for a regular hot chocolate made with soy milk. Then ask them to add mocha syrup (1 pump tall, 1.5 grande, 2 venti), white mocha syrup (1 pump tall, 1.5 grande, 2 venti), and cinnamon dolce syrup (2 pumps tall, 3 grande, 4 venti). Top it off by asking them to add cinnamon powder to the milk when it is steamed and voila! You have your own custom, made-to-order drink.

There are tons of other great ideas to try this winter on the secret menu, including a Vanilla Pumpkin Nut Latte  (pumpkin spice syrup, toffee nut syrup, vanilla syrup) or a Cold Hot Chocolate Frapp (double chocolate-y chip creme base, vanilla syrup, blended-in whipped cream, and peppermint syrup if you want an extra holiday touch!).

The options are essentially endless. Cheers!
