This mermaid is celebrating National Coming Out Day under the sea

Today is National Coming Out Day!

While creating this mermaid, I was thinking about how brave you have to be to be able to:

1. Know yourself.
2. Let the world really know you.

When it comes to the LGBTQ+ community, this subject strikes harder.

Coming out is a special, liberating moment everyone deserves to have and accomplish on their own terms and at their own pace. I wish for the day when saying this won’t be necessary, but for now, it is important to celebrate this day and to support the freedom and happiness of others.
