Meet the next Disney princess coming to ‘Once Upon a Time’

ABC’s Once Upon A Time boasts a very impressive roster of Disney princesses. Not only are Snow White and Belle leads on the show (and played perfectly by Ginnifer Goodwin and Emilie de Ravin) but we’ve also met Cinderella, Aurora, Rapunzel, Mulan, and Ariel, too. Oh, and let’s not forget the first half of Season 4, when Anna and Elsa stopped by for a visit and things got a bit chilly. So, who’s the next Disney princes to make their way to Storybrooke? Merida!

Yup, our favorite Scottish lass is stopping by for a visit. The Once Upon A Time panel at Comic-Con took place Saturday afternoon, and they teased what we can expect when the season returns this fall. They shared with the audience a short clip, showing what I can only assume is the Enchanted Forest, and features Merdia (Atlantis and Being Human’s Amy Manson) testing out her mad archery skills. Take a look.

How does she play into the OUAT world? We’re going to have to wait and see. The panel also spilled that Emma, oh sorry, The Dark One (Jennifer Morrison), is in the Enchanted Forest right now — doing Dark One stuff, you know how it goes — so it seems more than likely that she and Merida will cross paths. But, I’m kinda hoping it’s actually Snow White who meets Merida, seeing as how both ladies are accomplished archers, and then they can hang out and be awesome and shoot targets together, because who needs Prince Charming to save them, huh?

No sign of Merida’s troublesome three little brothers/bears, but then again, trouble can be found anywhere on OUAT. The new season premieres September 27.
