YAS: This brand released a nude nail polish collection for women of color

Mented Cosmetics first appeared on the scene with a line of nude lipsticks designed to flatter brown skin tones. Mented’s line of nude lipsticks filled a void in the beauty industry where options for deep skin tones are still limited and “nude” is often immediately associated with peachy-beige.

Finding nude options for every skin tone can be difficult, and not only when it comes to makeup. Indie brands are stepping up and mainstream brands are following suit. Christian Louboutin offers nude pumps in a wide range of colors, Nubian Skin creates lingerie for all skin tones, and Mented is expanding their empire with a new line of nude nail polishes.

From left to right, there’s Pinkish, Yes We Tan, and Brown & Bougie.

Even better? The polishes are vegan and cruelty-free. You can shop the three-part set right now at MentedCosmetics.com for only 15 buckaroos.

Along with the Nude Nail Collection, Mented has also launched three new lip shades: Peach Please, Brand Nude, and Brown Bare. All three are available now for $16.50, each at MentedCosmetics.com.

Cofounder KJ Miller spoke about the launch in a press release, saying,

"Since our March launch we’ve received so much amazing feedback from our community of Mented consumers. It’s been so gratifying to hear how excited these women are to finally be prioritized in the world of beauty, and we’re excited to continue doing this work with our summer product extension."

Mented, if you’re reading this, you know what we want next. Do we even have to say it? FOUNDATION! BRING IT ON!
