Melissa Joan Hart is driving us crazy with this Britney #tbt

Sometimes we need a reminder that the kooky stuff that happened in the late 1990s actually, well, happened. Thankfully, Melissa Joan Hart is here for us, posting an Instagram on Wednesday that was the perfect early #tbt. It’s a snippet from Britney Spears’s music video for her hit “(You Drive Me) Crazy,” featuring Melissa Joan Hart and Adrian Grenier after the duo starred in the 1999 movie Drive Me Crazy, (which featured the song in its soundtrack).
This isn’t the only time Melissa and Britney collaborated. Britney also appeared in an episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch the same year, and clips from the music video appeared in the credits. I did not have to look that up. I just know because that is the information my brain chooses to keep.
The duo also once hit the club together, which Melissa recounted during an interview on the Bethenny show in 2013, reports Us Weekly.
“She was underage so I snuck her in the backdoor and we did a little dancing,” Melissa said, referring to the pop star. “And then people sort of swarmed on top of her and then she got stuck at a table hanging out with people, chitchatting. I was like, ‘I’ve got to go to work tomorrow can I go?’ And she was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, go, I am good. They will get me home.’”
We love this friendship, especially because it’s one that’s lasted the test of time. Just last year, Melissa attended the Britney: Pieces Of Me show:
And we hope that if this Sabrina The Teenage Witch reboot ever happens, Britney would be the first to offer a cameo. Fingers crossed!
