Melania Trump “Simply Wants to Be Left Alone,” Says Source
Donald Trump’s wife is angry about his alleged role in hush money payments to Stormy Daniels.
Melania Trump seems to want no part of Donald Trump’s expanding media frenzy. She’s opting to keep a low profile as her husband is attending an arraignment trial related to alleged hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels. Mrs. Trump has not shown up to the court proceedings, which began on Apr. 4.
It’s not just the legal proceedings, either. A source tells People that the former first lady has also been noticeably absent from her husband’s political events too.

“It is not comfortable for her,” the source revealed, elaborating on how her perceived coldness is based on her “aloof” nature and that “she simply wants to be left alone.”
While Donald navigates public appearances for his 2024 presidential campaign, his wife is nowhere to be seen. “At this stage of her life she does not want to be in the spotlight,” another source told People. She “does what is expected” and is more focused on caring for their 17-year old son, Barron.
The new intel on the former presidential family comes after previous sources revealed to People that Melania was “angry” about Donald’s recent criminal charges.
While his recent arraignment centers around falsifying business records over alleged hush money payments, Daniels allegedly made claims that Donald’s cheating took place shortly after Melania gave birth to Barron in 2006.
Sources explained that additional rumors of extramarital affairs between the former president and the former adult film star cut deeper. Melania has reportedly been able to put up with the “series of scandals plaguing her husband” because of her ability to keep out of the spotlight.
The source relayed to People that her lack of outward support is likely to remain so as the case and campaign move forward.
“She remains angry and doesn’t want to hear [the alleged hush money payment] mentioned,” another source explained. “She is aware of who her husband is.”
The office of Melania Trump explained in a statement to People that news and assumptions of Melania’s feelings should be read “with caution…especially those citing sources that are anyone but Mrs. Trump.”
For now, as all eyes focus on the outcome of the legal proceedings, those sources say that Melania is content to keep her own life in private, amongst close friends and family. She’s been staying at the couple’s Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Florida, where the temperature is typically balmy. But it likely feels a bit chilly for some.
