See Meghan Trainor’s sweet musical tribute to Christina Grimmie in concert

We’re still shocked and saddened by the sudden death of 22-year-old Christina Grimmie. The Voice alum was shot and killed after a concert in Orlando, Florida. She was signing autographs and posing for photos during a meet and greet with fans when a man approached and shot her at close range. The horrible tragedy makes no sense and has left many heartbroken and confused.

Since Christina’s death, many of the celebrities who knew her have paid tribute to her passing. Adam Levine posted a sweet selfie with her, expressing his sadness. Selena Gomez, one of Christina’s longtime friends (her stepfather Brian was Christina’s manager), dedicated the song “Transfiguration” to the late singer during her concert on Saturday night. And Selena’s stepfather Brian started a GoFundMe campaign page that’s already raised over $170,000 for Christina’s family.

Another friend of Christina’s has honored her in an emotional way: singer Meghan Trainor. Meghan dedicated her performance of the ballad “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” to her late friend.

“If you’ll please sing it with me as a shoutout to our girl Christina,” Meghan asked of the crowd. “This one’s for her, let’s sing nice and loud.”

Meghan also posted these sweet photo tributes on Instagram to honor Christina.

Rest in peace, Christina. The world tragically lost a great talent far too soon.
