Meghan Markle officially gave birth, and here’s everything we know

Royal aficionados have been anxiously awaiting the birth of another royal baby ever since Kensington Palace revealed that Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, was expecting a child with husband Prince Harry back in October 2018. And we’re so, so excited to tell you that the newest royal baby is FINALLY here.

"The duchess went into labor in the early hours of this morning, the family said in a statement on Monday, May 6th, per The New York Times. The family also noted that Prince Harry was by her side.

And now, in an official statement via The Kensington Palace Instagram account, we have confirmation that the royal baby is here, and it’s a boy!

We’ve spent the last few months gushing over everything related to Meghan’s pregnancy, from her adorable baby bump to her beautiful-but-practical maternity wear. Now that the fourth royal baby has made his debut, we’re already on pins and needles waiting for an official portrait.

And naturally, the world is extremely excited.

The new baby is seventh in line for the throne, just behind their father and cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, respectively. We wish the royal family nothing but health and happiness as they await their latest addition. Now…let’s take bets on the new baby’s name, shall we?
