Shh, Meghan Markle’s favorite Madewell denim jacket is still in stock
Meghan Markle loves a denim jacket for fall just as much as we do. On a royal visit to Monwabisi Beach outside Cape Town today, September 24th, the Duchess of Sussex stepped out in a medium-wash Madewell denim jacket with rose-gold buttons. And luckily for us, because Markle sells everything out, it is still in stock.
Markle wore her Madewell denim jacket with rolled-up sleeves and a slightly popped collar. (It could’ve been the wind, but it looks cool.) She completed the laid-back look with a fresh, white button-down shirt, black skinny jeans, and woven camel-colored flats.
It’s the perfect fall outfit, whether you’re a royal or not.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with baby Archie, are currently on a 10-day tour throughout southern Africa. On the trip, they’ll advocate for local charities and meet with major leaders, including Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Graca Machel, the widow of the late President Nelson Mandela. According to the royal itinerary, Markle and 4-month-old Archie will remain in South Africa while the Duke will travel solo to Botswana, Malawi, and Angola.
Today, Markle and her jacket (oh, and Prince Harry) visited Monwabisi Beach to learn about the charity Waves for Change, which provides vulnerable young people with safe spaces, mentors, surf lessons, and other mental health therapies.
Other than her charity work, Markle is perhaps best known for her attainable, down-to-earth style—and for subtly breaking a royal dress code or two, like with her unapologetically modern dark nail polish, messy buns, and ripped-knee jeans. The fashion maven often re-wears her wardrobe staples, so we’re sure this isn’t the last we’ll see of Markle in this versatile denim jacket. We’re not complaining about it.
