Meghan Markle’s facialist swears by these simple and cheap DIY face mask ingredients
Facialist Nichola Joss is a household name in Hollywood. Her A-list clients include Priyanka Chopra, Gwyneth Paltrow, and perhaps the star she’s most well-known for working with, Meghan Markle. Last spring, when the world was prepping for the royal wedding (and by prepping, we mean anxiously awaiting and obsessively googling), you couldn’t read a thing about Markle’s wedding preparation process without seeing Joss’s name.
All of this would normally lead one to believe that her skin care tips include super luxe treatments and state-of-the-art equipment, right? But that’s not the case at all.

In fact, Refinery29 caught up with the celebrity facialist to get the scoop on her favorite face masks, and lo and behold, all of the ingredients can be found in your kitchen cabinets, ready to be prepped for breakfast. The ingredients include coconut oil, because “it mixes well with other ingredients to create a soothing, paste-like consistency,” as well as oats, honey, egg whites, and turmeric, which can help soothe inflammation.
“At-home face masks are amazing, and I fully endorse them,” Joss told Refinery29. “They’re easy, free, and you have full control of the ingredients you’re putting on your skin—which is why most of my clients love them.” If it’s good enough for Meghan Markle, it’s certainly good enough for us. Time to get our DIY on.
