Meghan Markle wore the gothic version of her wedding dress to her latest royal appearance

We’ve been keeping our eyes on Meghan Markle and her impeccable fashion choices ever since she made her first public appearance with now-husband Prince Harry. And even though she’s mostly been sticking to the classics, she’s also surprised us a few times in the past two months (remember that stunning sunshine yellow dress she wore on July 5th?). And her latest look was perfectly (and gorgeously) unexpected.

Markle stepped out on July 10th to attend the Royal Air Force centenary celebrations at Westminster Abbey alongside husband Prince Harry, brother-in-law Prince William, sister-in-law Kate Middleton, and Queen Elizabeth, and she served up serious gothic wedding vibes in a dark bespoke Dior A-line dress with a bateau neckline.

As many will recall, Markle rocked the same bateau neckline on her wedding day.

The Duchess accompanied the look with pointed nude pumps, also by Dior, reminding us that nude heels are anything but boring (and it was the perfect way to let the belted dress and sheer Stephen Jones headpiece stand out).

In case you’re wondering (of course you are), Kate Middleton rocked a light blue Alexander McQueen coat and dress with matching Sean Barrett hat, as well as her diamond Dacre brooch. Like Markle, she also completed her ensemble with a nude heel (note to self: get nude heels).

We’re officially all about Markle’s elegant dark side.
