A meat popsicle exists and it actually sounds pretty awesome

When summer rolls around, the first thing we do is stock up on refreshing popsicles. The great thing about popsicles is that they come in many flavors, even meat! That’s right, you read that correctly: meat. As in, a beef-broth popsicle. Despite your probable skepticism, these beef popsicles are a real thing, sold for $4 a pop at  Springbone Kitchen in NYC.

Before you turn your nose up at this popsicle, know that it includes some sweet and delicious ingredients that you’d find in regular, non-meat popsicles, like coconut milk, pomegranate juice, raspberry puree, and maple syrup. According to Springbone’s founder Jordan Feldman, you don’t even taste the meat because it’s “totally overwhelmed by the other flavors.” Okay, we can maybe get on board.

But if that’s the case, why add the beef broth in at all, then? Well, apparently the reason for the broth is because it has numerous health benefits, like improving the dewiness of your complexion, and making your hair super shiny. Feldman started drinking the broth after a physical injury, and it worked wonders. So naturally his next idea was to make beef-broth popsicles. Duh!

There’s no telling yet whether these popsicles will be the next health food trend or not, but we must admit, they do sound tempting. Each popsicle contains one-third of a cup of beef-broth, which is not a lot, though still enough for a quickie health kick (that will also cool you down!). It’s good to try everything once in life, right?!
