She may have served as an executive producer for the breakout Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, but Selena Gomez is ready to do another movie. The singer’s been busy promoting her new album and releasing music videos, but she’s definitely got an eye on Hollywood. But if you think Selena Gomez is interested in a romantic comedy, think again.

If we’re interpreting this Insta-story correctly, singer and actress Selena Gomez is making it very clear that she’d like to get into the world of horror movies. In a recent Instagram post, the singer shared footage from the 2012 movie Aftershock that she had a small part in. She even tagged infamous horror director Eli Roth, in case he’s looking for a leading lady for his next horror-filled flick.

“I can’t wait to do a horror movie.”

She added, “When you’re in the feels and you miss @realeliroth.”

Selena Gomez, of course, has extensive experience onscreen, from television to movies, but has yet to make the leap to horror. But this isn’t an idle notion; she’s been talking up the idea with photographer, model, and actress Petra Collins, who’s totally on board too.

“I love The Exorcist and the things that come from inside you, the things that are a little more subtle, and things that you deal with from inwards, and I feel like it’s something Selena and I both love talking about,” Collins said in an interview with Vanity Fair. “That topic is sort of dear to us.”

We’ve seen Selena Gomez as everything from a young wizard to a pop icon, and we’re totally ready to see her in a horror movie. It sounds like a screaming good time.
