So, the McDonald’s secret menu DOES exist

Calling all menu hackers: McDonald’s will now take your (secret) order. Secret menu items like the Pie McFlurry and the Grilled Cheese have been on #HackTheMenu for a while now, and employees of the company have finally confirmed its existence. A spokesperson from the fast food chain recently opened up about their secret menu to People.

“We know our customers are really creative, and they tell us all the time that they enjoy customizing our menu,” the spokesperson said.

So if you wanted to order, say, a Monster Mac (a Big Mac with eight beef patties and eight slices of cheese) or a Land, Sea & Air Burger (Big Mac + Filet-O-Fish + McChicken), you totes could.

Here’s more proof. During a recent Reddit AMA thread, a McDonald’s manager confirmed what we believed to be true: You can “add, remove or change ingredients by special request. These are called ‘grill orders’.” So yes, the secret menu? It’s real.

“Order one and the workers might not know it by name,” the manager continued. “But if you explain what it is, and are willing to pay for all the ingredients, it’s just another ‘grill order’ that we can make up.”

When you think about it, most of these secret menu items are just remixes of ingredients the restaurant already has. It’s up to us to get creative with what the menu offers!

Secret menus are nothing new, but they’re still fun to discover and explore. There’s a certain stealthy excitement around walking up to the counter and ordering a Burritodilla from Chipotle or a Candy Cane Frappuccino from Starbucks. (Yeah, those are real things.) So now that we have the all clear, let’s go get McCrepes!
