McDonald’s just raised the price on this meal, and we’re all pretty hangry
Just a few months ago, McDonald’s revamped their signature Dollar Menu with the McPick 2 for $2 option and now… their prices are going up on a Tuesday (so to speak).
While it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, Consumerist reveals that the McPick 2 for $5 has been advertised (with billboards and all) in several cities. Along with this $3 increase, customers will now be able to choose from these selections: Quarter Pounder, Big Mac, chicken nuggets, Filet-O-Fish, and fries. Previously, these were the options: a McDouble, a McChicken, small fries, and mozzarella sticks. (No, mozzarella sticks! Please don’t go!)
According to Benzinga, there may be menu variations depending on the store location, but all nationwide McDonald’s will be launching this 2 for $5 deal by the end of February (once again, this hasn’t been confirmed by the fast food chain as of right now).
With that being said, McDonald’s did say that the McPick 2 for $2 would go through a 5-week test run starting January 4th. However, now that this test run has come to a close, it seems that McDonald’s wants to go in a different (more costly) direction. And, as you can imagine, people are not happy about it…
Now, the ball is in McDonald’s court. Will they confirm the new McPick price increase or won’t they?
