Dylan O’Brien is back in action in the first “Maze Runner: The Death Cure” trailer

We’re so thrilled to see the first Maze Runner: The Death Cure trailer, and not just ’cause we’ve been looking forward to this third movie for ages. It also marks Dylan O’Brien’s onscreen return to the action following his on-set accident, and difficult journey back to the role.

When he was injured on the Maze Runner set, it was questionable whether or not he would actually return. We’re sure it must have been incredibly challenging to step back into a job that he had such a traumatic experience with, but O’Brien was up to the challenge.

Check it out: O’Brien in the Maze Runner series’ final installment.

The last two movies were action-packed and filled with characters we’ve come to love. Plus, lots of explosions. And from the looks of it, The Death Cure will continue that tradition! According to 20th Century Fox, we’ll follow Thomas (O’Brien) as he embarks on another intense journey.

"In the epic finale to the Maze Runner saga, Thomas leads his group of escaped Gladers on their final and most dangerous mission yet. To save their friends, they must break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze of all. Anyone who makes it out alive will get answers to the questions the Gladers have been asking since they first arrived in the maze."

We’re so in for some more labyrinthian adventures with Thomas and company. Maze Runner: The Death Cure is out January 26th, 2018, so the new year already looks preeeeeetty bright.
