Matthew Lewis and Tom Felton had a mini Harry Potter reunion, and their jokes about it are wicked funny
Harry Potter taught us to believe in magic. And basically every time the cast reunites in some capacity, it really does feel magical. That is certainly the case with the recent Harry Potter reunion between Matthew Lewis and Tom Felton. The actors who played Neville Longbottom and Draco Malfoy got in character for some hilarious Instagram photos, and it’s a Hogwarts house showdown if we’ve ever seen one.
Lewis and Felton, whose HP characters represented Gryffindor and Slytherin, got together in Venice Beach, California on Saturday, August 18th. The best part is that they even had HP merch with them; the Instagram pics show Felton holding up a Slytherin backpack. It’s so great to see the two actors feuding over houses even now, nearly 17 years after the first movie hit theaters.
Now, just be forewarned that seeing photos of the Harry Potter reunion might cause you to feel an urge to cancel all your plans and watch every single Harry Potter movie right here and now. That’s perfectly normal. However, you might want to wait until all of the movies hit Cinemark theaters in a few weeks.
Look at this epic Harry Potter reunion.
Felton teased fans with the caption, “See how close he was to converting….” along with the hashtag #gryffindork.”
But Lewis had his own side of the story.
The actor who played Neville captioned the photo, “Take your Slytherin paws off me, you damn dirty ape!” LOL.
Let’s face it: Neville may have almost been The Boy Who Lived, but he’d never be a Slytherin.
He was loyal and true to our man Harry. And we love him for that.
Seriously, those pictures make us want a full-on Harry Potter reunion.
It definitely seems like Lewis and Felton would be down.
Who knows? Maybe the movie’s 20th anniversary on November 16th, 2021 will provide Potterheads with a complete Harry Potter reunion. But just in case it doesn’t, we’ll work on our conjuring spells as a backup.
