Matt Damon pretended to be Tom Brady to trick Jimmy Kimmel, and we will never get tired of this bromantic feud

Everybody loves a good feud, and the one between Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel has been going steady for years. And it’s now reached new levels of hilarious absurdity.

In a grand gesture, Matt Damon dressed as Tom Brady to finally get his guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

In case you missed it, the long-standing joke on Kimmel’s show is that he always “runs out of time” before Damon can be interviewed, leaving Damon pathetically desperate to just get his moment on the couch. It even recently culminated with Ben Affleck attempting to sneak Damon onto the show on his actual person.

This time however, Damon took a different tactic. Take a look:

That’s right — he snuck onto the show in full football uniform (complete with helmet to disguise his face — very important) and was welcomed with a huge congrats from Kimmel for winning the Super Bowl. Now that’s commitment.

Ensuring that he got his few minutes of Kimmel fame, Damon yelled out “I did it! Yes! I did it! If I’m not on the show, where am I? I’m on the show! TOUCH DOWN!” That promoted a friendly argument between the two, but Damon was the reigning champ of the evening. “I won the Super Bowl and I won your stupid show!”

It’s true. Damon really is a winner, because that made our day. But wait! He was then interviewed backstage by sports journalist Rich Eisen, and this is pure essential viewing AS WELL.

This line came out of Damon’s mouth! “First of all I want to thank God, because he just hates Jimmy so much…he made all this happen.” Can we just talk about Kimmel and Damon’s special bromance for a second…because they get us every time.
